Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 on the 15th of June, 1996 in Stavanger) is an Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is released in May of 2015 from Decca Records. It has been praised by the music press and bloggers. The singer has recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the group Oasis to promote a Christmas ad from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry's support for her song Runaway on her blog added to the musician's recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard within her loft and being intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to use music for development of her own, not to earn a living or as a hobby. As a result, she began writing songs of her own. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as her main influences. Her mother was supportive of her performing her songs in public, not to achieve fame, but rather in order to show others how important they are and how they can make a difference to make a difference in the world. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument at the age of six. She started making music at the age of nine. The family did not know until the age of 14. Aurora wasn't a dream. Her only passion is to compose music. For her, the songs she creates are how she feels about everything.
